As an introduction, let us learn some basic phrases and its meaning in English.

Begrüßung - Greetings

1. Guten Morgen! - Good morning!

2. Guten Tag! - Good day!

3. Hallo! - Hello!

Unlike English, we have formal and informal way of greeting in German language. It is basically how the verb is getting conjugated based on the pronouns. We will discuss about conjugation once when we start learning German Grammar, which i will be covering in my next blog.

Formell - formal

Wie geht es Ihnen? - How are you?

Wie heißen Sie? - What is your name?

Auf Wiedersehen! - See you again!

Tschüss! - Bye!

Informell - Informal

Wie geht's? - How are you?

Wie heißt du? - What is your name?

Bis Bald! - Bye for now! / C ya!
